May I not to fill in my diary for a week and then fill it all in at once?
As the experience shows (our personal and our participants), this method only prevents the putting of useful practices in life. For a few days you can forget what and how much you have done, but the main thing is to lose the mood that every day moves you forward. You must admit that it is very nice at the end of the day to see your progress and make some plans for further practice…

You can study the materials of the day at any convenient time – in the morning, in the afternoon or in the evening, during a break at work or even in advance, right before going to bed. In the material we tell you important information and give advice and recommendations on practices. And your personal diary is a tool of help, it allows you to do tasks timely, mark your changes and prepare your body for changes (for example, in diet). It takes very little time to fill in the diary and your practice progress is tracked by our system, including in the overall ranking of participants. Moving further and further, you earn small achievements – another sign of your success in practice.

Use this tool to the fullest! When we see that the participant does not log in the personal diary for several days, does not read the materials and does not mark the practice, we block the diary. Of course, if you know that in the next few days you will not have stable access to the Internet, you can warn the curator that we will keep your diary working.
If I've never meditated before, will I be able to learn in this course?
Yeah, sure! The practice of meditation is one of the key in our course and we explain and show you the right technique. In addition, in your personal diary, you can mark the time that you have given to practice, we just recommend the target value.
You can always ask our professional curators for advice, if you have not just found in the course materials and in the answers to popular questions that interest you.
Why is it better not to move during meditation?
Meditation is a deep practice, during which you need to try to direct all your attention inside yourself, not to broadcast anything from the outside, to concentrate on what is already in the mind. Sometimes it is extremely difficult to distract from constantly "running" thoughts, as well as to plunge into yourself and move away from what is now around. Regular practice of meditation will allow you to do it, so do not rush and listen to your body.

For facilitating this task and complete immersion, we use a special fixed pose sitting with crossed legs and interlaced locked fingers – this stops the work of the motor organs (these include the voice apparatus, hands, feet, genitals). Also, during meditation, we stop the sense work – the sensory organs: we sit in silence, silently, with our eyes closed, and in order to lock the organs activity, we stick up the tongue tip in the upper palate.

Thus, nothing prevents you from focusing on the inner workings of consciousness – meditation. A detailed description of the technique of meditation you will find in the relevant materials of the course, please do not forget to read carefully this information.
What should i do if it is difficult to sit with a straight back during meditation?
For the beginners the back pain is quite common thing. To simplify the practice and make it more comfortable for yourself, you can:

– Sit near the wall (this is not necessary, read the text to the end; maybe the wall will not be useful to you).

– To put under the pelvis a small pillow (a folded blanket, etc.) in order to the pelvis was above the feet, and slightly direct (push) forward the lower back. In this position your body will maintain a vertical position not only due to the work of the muscles. Later you will notice that sitting with a straight back is so much easier than hunching.

– Support the legs from all sides, so they do not "hang" in the air. Use the special yoga blocks ("bricks") for this purpose or improvised means, for example, pillows, books, etc.

– If you still find it difficult, just sit near the wall, lean on your lower back (with your lower back, not the shoulder blades) so the back will not get tired, and you can keep it in a suitable position for practice.

To make it easier for you, before practicing meditation, do a little warm-up or some exercises, by the way, you can slowly and briefly dance the kaoshiki

Why should we give up snacks?
Many nutritionists recommend eating fractionally, without short breaks between meals, saying that the metabolism will improve in this way, and the body will work more actively on the processing of the received food. Indeed, this is so. But there is one big "but»…

When you eat without snacks, i.e. 3-4 times a day with intervals between meals from 4 hours on average, the body has the opportunity to do other important things, besides the digestion. The important thing is purification that, alas, cannot be done together with the food digestion. If you eat often, even in small portions, the body will always work on the food processing that you give it. So, we can not speak about proper cleaning, rehabilitation and reconstruction…

The opinion about the benefits of frequent meals has been formed recently and it is based primarily on the opinion that the stomach should always be filled with something (so that it does not begin to "digest" itself, so that it does not begin to be afraid of hunger and "put off for later", etc.). However, the stomach, like the whole body, is not a mindless machine that is programmed only to digest everything. The breaks between meals give the opportunity to restore your body in order to sweep away the remnants of the house of unnecessary junk. And this is proved by the results that appear after the detox or fasting (of course, in compliance with the recommendations).

If you want your lifestyle to become healthier, you should gradually switch to a diet without snacks and, accordingly, without overeating. Try to do this at least during the course participation just for the experiment, so that then you can compare it with something else.

Why should i drink so much water?
Proper and adequate drinking of water is a very important part of a healthy lifestyle and especially the proper functioning of the digestive system. We really recommend you to make drinking water your daily useful habit; it will also show you how much depends on the company and circumstances in your everyday life – all these tea parties and meetings in coffee houses with friends.

In the material of the day, we cover this topic in detail and describe why yogis prefer to drink so much clean water – namely water, not sweet carbonated drinks, etc. However, these recommendations, which may seem very large, especially at first, are not suitable for everyone. We can not know in advance what kind of physical state you are now in, so please be sure to read all the recommendations and contraindications!

If you are in doubt or are not sure that you can drink a large amount of water, the best solution is to consult with a specialist. At first, you can contact the curator and try as much as possible to describe the state of your health and the problems that you may disturb youOf course, you can ask your questions to your doctor. Be sure to do this if you feel unwell or doubt before the start of this practice – there is nothing wrong, really, on the contrary!

Why should i add salt to drinking water?
In our materials, we recommend salting drinking water, but it should be done correctly for bringing more benefits to the body. You should add a small pinch of salt to the glass of water so the water does not have salty taste and such mixture you should pour out.

Salted water is better absorbed and takes part in water exchange, helping, by the way, also to get rid of edema. Fresh water will "stand" in the intercellular space, because the internal environment of the body (which in its own is salty) will not be able to mix with fresh water – the so called halocline effect.

However, it is important not to go to the other extreme. Too salty water also will not be able to assimilate, will cause stagnation (there will be swelling) or can lead to a laxative effect – it all depends on the degree of water salinity. To make the water even more useful, add Himalayan pink salt – especially if you have high blood pressure.

I don't feel good without coffee. If I give up drinking coffee, will i be completely weakened?
In our reality there is, it can be said, the cult of coffee. But coffee doesn't give you real energy, even the most delicious cappuccino or americano doesn't add it to you…

Coffee is a toxin for your body, and the body always tries quickly to get rid of any toxic substances in all available ways. After you drink coffee, the body blocks receptors of "tiredness" and this effect is mistaken for the very liveliness, in fact, your body begins to work hard.

What's next? The local vasoconstriction and pressure increase, fast heart beating (to accelerate leaching of the poison from the bodies), sudden discharge of fluid (elimination of the poison from the tissues and the extracellular space) due to the increased sweating and frequent urination happen. The period of such a discharge is not long, but then comes the "post-war" period: dehydration, low blood pressure (and mainly coffee lovers suffer from hypotension), tachycardia, deterioration of the brain cognitive functions and loss of energy. Imagine what will happen if you extend the "liveliness" with another cup of coffee, it is easy.

Do you really want to help yourself and increase the level of energy and strength, improving the ability to concentrate? Go to the natural "energy" and not to coffee or even tea. It can be sagan dyle, echinacea, eleutherococcus, pine extract, strongly fermented ivan-tea, a set of spices of masala tea (they can be brewed separately with milk and other herbs). For these purposes, you can also drink a great ginger drink – hot and cold (a mixture of ginger with lemon and honey) or a good orange fresh.

Of course, this is not all variants for such a replacement; even more of them you will find in our materials. And you can always invent your own combination, adding to it what you like and you can always ask for advice the curators.
I don't want (or havea fear) to exclude meat from the diet. Can I still do thecourse?
Switching to a vegetarian diet is a part of the HYLS course program, but that doesn't mean that you can't participate if you don't want, can't, or are afraid to exclude animal products from your diet.

In our course, we go into detail about vegetarianism and then yoga nutrition to give you enough knowledge to use in your daily life. However, if for some reason you are not able to make a gradual switching to this type of food (even as a small experiment), you can continue to participate in the course, getting a lot of useful and necessary information without doing this practice

But the transition to yoga nutrition is closely related to detox, so if you want to go through a cleaning program during the course, so you need to prepare your body, gradually changing your diet to a healthier one – do not worry, we will provide all the instructions and recommendations in the materials!

If you are in doubt and do not want to switch to vegetarianism, because you do not know how it is to live without meat, you can always communicate with curators and with other participants, learn their feelings from this type of food.
I'm afraid of detox - what to do?
First of all, do not worry in vain and begin with reading all the options that we offer. The simplest of them is the yogic diet, in which you give up meat products, eggs, mushrooms, onions and garlic, as well as tea and coffee. If in everyday life all these products are familiar to you, even such a slight change in diet for a short period of time will greatly help you clean the body.

In addition, we have prepared for you some other options. And during the course we talk about possible contraindications and recommendations for one or another program completion of purification. Thus, you can carefully study the information, ask questions if you have any, and then to do the detox without extra excitement.

If you understand that now you should not pass the detox for some reason, you can refuse from this practice and continue to get acquainted with the materials, getting a lot of benefits from them (believe me, we are talking not only about the purification of the digestive system, but also about the emotions during this practice). All this knowledge will be useful to the participant of any level.
I have a nervous job. Can I fight stress with sweets?
Comfort eating is a common practice. However, the most effective (and at the same time the most difficult) is to force yourself at the moment of nervous tension to switch to something else, to perform some relaxing practice. Try a couple of minutes to breathe slowly and deeply with your abdomen, lengthening exhalations when you feel a stress "attack". You can lean the body down, slightly bending the legs and "hang" so with the elbow lock or make a joint workout. And you should drink some water for sure, it should be a few small sips (better slightly salted).

To let the stress out through the body is that thing that saves in very nervous moments; also it increases the stress resistance in general. The "program of movement" implementation helps to reduce the level of adrenaline, i.e. to get out of the stress state. In the evening after a difficult day, you should relax a few minutes in shavasana before going to bed with relaxation of the whole body (you can do it yourself, directing your attention to the separate parts of the body, you can also use the voice recording instructor). Also the relaxing music and aroma oils can help you to relax (if you have no allergy).

Try to overcome the stress by working with your body and the need to throw at food will disappear itself.
